rrdtool

With ntop v3.1, a patched and frozen version of rrdtool 1.0.49, called myrrd, is included in the ntop source tree and binary distributions. The external packages are no longer required.

Unless, that is, you need rrdtool. For rrdtool, please download the latest 1.0.x version from Tobi's rrdtool home page here.

Notes...
1. The current "recommended" version is a personal recommendation, typically of a current or near-current version that has proven to run successfully in our test environment.
2. The RPM (and SRPM, if one is available) are built from the indicated .tar.gz and have only been lightly tested (i.e. installs and starts-up). For information about the rpms, see the file docs/RedHat-rpmbuild-HOWTO.txt.
3. There are frequently unofficial (community provided) patches and tools at SourceForge in the files area. Check them out.
4. Development version are supported to the extent that each successive version includes new fixes and new features. Be aware that these versions are still DEVELOPMENT versions and may have bugs. If you're following the bleeding edge, well, be prepared to bleed and update frequently.
5. The whole of the ntop directory at SourceForge can be browsed here. That's everything we have hidden away instead of deleting - old versions, old patches, true junk, etc. Use it all at your own risk.
